We have a variety of diagnostic tests we can run in-house, giving you results the day of your visit. These tests can detect heartworms, feline leukemia and FIV, parvovirus, and giardia. We also have lab machines to run complete blood counts, chemistry panels, and thyroid testing. We can use our microscope to examine samples from skin and ear infections, suspected tumors, and urine samples in order to get more information about your pet’s condition.
For more specialized testing--including blood tests, urine cultures, allergy testing, and biopsies-- we send our lab samples to Idexx Reference Laboratories. Depending on the test, results may be available as soon as the next day, though biopsies, cultures, and some blood tests can take several days to come back. We will always call you with test results as soon as they are available.
